The Daily Show’s Jessica Williams to perform at Stephens Auditorium

Jessica Williams, a correspondent from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, will perform as part of Iowa States National Affairs series at 8 p.m. Friday, May 1, at C.Y. Stephens Auditorium. Doors open at 7:15 p.m., and the show is free and open to the public.

Most recently featured on the cover of “Wired” magazine, Jessica Williams, a correspondent with “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” will be the featured speaker at 8 p.m. May 1 at Stephens Auditorium.

Williams, often referred to as a “senior correspondent” on “The Daily Show,” is an actress, writer and comedian from Los Angeles, Calif. After graduating from California State University in Long Beach, Williams entered the comedy world of improv and sketch comedy.

At the age of 22, Williams made history by being the youngest correspondent on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” Now 25 years old, Williams has made appearances on season three of the hit HBO show “Girls” and has performed with “ComedySportz: The College Team” and at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles.

Williams will perform as part of Iowa State’s National Affairs Series in her lecture, “For More We Turn To Jessica Williams from ‘The Daily Show.’” Doors open at 7:15 p.m. with general admission seating and no ticket is required for the free event.
