As an office assistant in the Design Administration department of the College of Design, you’ll communicate with current and prospective students, which includes tours, special events and attending Experience Iowa State check-in sites at the MU. You’ll deal with mailings, phone calls and other basic office tasks, like filing, entering data, typing and helping with phone surveys of graduates. You must be able to lift 50+ pounds, have a tolerance for various weather conditions and have a current driver’s license. You can make up to $10 an hour and the job beings as soon as possible, if hired.

If you know how to play an instrument, you can be a guitar instructor or a violin instructor at Ames Music Studios. As a server/bartender at the Ames Golf and Country Club, you’ll be…well…a server and a bartender. Past experience isn’t required, but you will need to be available during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays (7:45 – 3p.) The position begins when the course opens, probably later this month.
