Wash Your Face
The Importance of washing the face is critical. Rivera explained that readers should let their skin breathe from a days worth of absorb residue and dirt or pollution from their surroundings.
“Before going to bed it is important wash your face,” Rivera said. “You don’t want to clog your pores overnight and you don’t want to spread any of that dirt or makeup on the pillows that your face will be buried in all night.”
Rivera explained that the skin around an individual’s eye is an area where dirt can collect due to it’s thinness of skin.
“it is important to always wash off that eyeliner and mascara because you don’t want anything to lay on that skin overnight, this can cause infections and stds,” Rivera said.
For a much cleaner process, make sure to use makeup remover.

“Cotton pillows tend to strip hair of their natural moisture and cause frizz,” Rivera said. “Another suggestion would be to switch to satin pillows or get a satin cap to sleep in at night.”
