Cyclone Hockey completed a much-needed sweep over the Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines on Oct. 24 and 25. A week after being handed a sweep by Lindenwood University, the Cyclone offense exploded and scored 13 goals over two games. Here are some offensive numbers from the series.

89-56: The shots on goal for each team. The Cyclones outshot Lindenwood 79-54 last weekend but couldn’t convert on chances. This time they converted in a big way, outscoring the Wolverines 13-2.

7: The amount of goals scored in the first period of the Oct. 25 matchup for the Cyclones. They went on to win 9-0.

3 and 1: Respectively the amount of goals and assists that Eero Helanto had over the weekend. Since Helanto usually plays as a defenseman, it was his first time playing forward for the Cyclones, and he responded in a big way.
