Cyclone Hockey dropped its third game in as many days with a 1-0 loss to the Central Oklahoma Broncos on Oct. 5 at the Arctic Edge Ice Arena in Edmond, Okla.

No. 8 ranked Central Oklahoma (5-0, 3-0 ACHA) got on the board in the first period after Rylan Duley’s shot found the far left side of the net with just under nine minutes left. The No. 5 ranked Cyclones (5-4, 1-4 ACHA) went into the intermission outshooting the Broncos 11 to 9 but still trailed 1-0.

The Cyclones brought a power play into the second period but failed to capitalize. Central Oklahoma goaltender Bretton Patchett kept his team in front with a great save after Alex Grose fed Trevor Lloyd off the cycle.

Cyclone forward Austin Parle had a prime chance in the third period to knot the game up, but Patchett stopped him with a glove save. That would be the only good scoring chance in the third period.

Patchett stopped all 28 Cyclone shots for the shutout.

The Cyclones will take on Indiana Tech to try and right the ship at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 9 at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena.
