ISU men’s track and field earns 3 Big 12 titles on second day

The Big 12 Indoor Championships came to an end Saturday with the ISU men’s track and field team grabbing three event titles. The team finished in 6th place overall in the conference.

Edward Kemboi picked up two first-place titles on Saturday in the 1,000-meter run (2:22.50) and 800-meter run (1:50.67).

Cameron Ostrowski grabbed the Big 12 title in the high jump with a personal-best 7 feet, 3.75 inches.

Jan Jeuschede threw a personal-best 60 feet, 9.25 inches in the shot put, which was over six inches farther than his previous mark (60’3”). The personal record earned Jeuschede third place.

In the men’s 60-meter hurdles, Ryan Sander hurdled a season-best mark of 7.97 seconds. The time marked a season best that earned him a second-place finish.
