For the third-straight week, an ISU freshman has taken home the conference Freshman of the Week award. This time, Seanna Johnson grabbed the honor.

The Big 12 league office announced Monday that Johnson, a native of Brooklyn Park, Minn., was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week.

In an ISU win against Texas Tech and a loss to Oklahoma State last week, Johnson averaged 12.5 points, 9 rebounds and 2.5 assists. She recorded a double-double against the Cowgirls with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The award was Johnson’s third of the season after winning the honor in back-to-back weeks on Nov. 25 and Dec. 2. Her most recent award is coming off the heels of back-to-back Freshman of the Week awards by teammate, Jadda Buckley.

Iowa State is set to host West Virginia 7 p.m. Jan. 15.
