Cyclones in second after two rounds at Marsh Landing Invitational

After day one of tournament play at the Marsh Landing Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla., the ISU women’s golf team currently rests in second place.

The No. 28 Cyclones fired for a total two-round score of 579 (289-290), trailing No. 14 Purdue by only five strokes. Iowa State sat in first after a first-round count of 289, the lowest team score of the season for the Cyclones.

Senior Punpaka Phuntumabamrung (71-72) and junior Prima Thammaraks (72-71) lead the Cyclones and are tied for fourth overall, both with a two-round score of 143.

Junior Sasikarn On-Iam, sophomore Chonlada Chayanun, and freshman Casja Persson all carded identical scores of 148 and currently sit in 28th place.
