National Weather Service puts wind chill advisory in effect, includes Story County

The National Weather Service has included Ames and Story County under a wind chill advisory, effective beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31.
An arctic cold front will begin hitting Ames tonight, bringing increasingly colder temperatures and blustery winds. Wind chills are expected to hit 20 to 25 degrees below zero as the front makes its way through Iowa.
The warning extends through noon Friday, February 1.
