Iowa State has landed four-star recruit Jake Campos, an offensive lineman from Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, who previously committed to Missouri this past spring.

“[Iowa State has] a spectacular engineering program,” Campos told the Cedar Rapids Gazette’s Rob Gray. “And they have over 15 engineers [majors] on the football team right now, so it can be done and that makes me feel really good. Everything was a great fit.”

Among a wide span of attention out of high school, Campos had received offers from Oklahoma, Kansas State and Iowa. Campos reportedly committed to Iowa State on Saturday after meeting with ISU coach Paul Rhoads following the men’s basketball team’s 83-64 win against BYU.

Four former Valley Tigers currently on the ISU roster include redshirt seniors Jake McDonough (DL) and Matt Van Dyke (WR), junior Kirby Van Der Kamp (P) and sophomore Nick Kron (DE).
