The Iowa Ethics Board announced Thursday afternoon that Bruce Rastetter did not violate any ethics laws. A complaint had been filed alleging that Rastetter had tried to use his position as am member of the Board of Reagents to influence and profit from a land deal in Tanzania.

According to tweets from those present at the meeting, the board agreed that Rastetters initial filing was incomplete, but they are satisfied with an updated form submitted on Aug. 20
