While the Olympics are well underway, Cyclone fans will have to hold out just a little longer to see current and past Iowa State athletes compete in London.

Former Cyclones Lisa Uhl and Guor Marial will compete for medals in track and field, former Cyclone Jake Varner will try his luck in wrestling and current Cyclone Ian Warner will be at it in track and field as well.

Track and field games commence August 3. Uhl will represent the United States in the 10,000-meter run. Her race will be aired live on NBC at 3:25 p.m.

Warner’s preliminary race in the 4×100-meter relay will not be televised, however the final, medal event will air August 11 on a tape delay from 7 to 11 p.m. on NBC. Warner will be representing Canada.

Jake Varner will be wrestling for the USA on August 12. Televised coverage begins at 6 to 7:30 a.m. on MSNBC.

And finally Guor Marial will be competing independently starting at 5 a.m. on August 12 in the men’s marathon. Televised coverage will commence from 5 to 8 a.m.
