10,000 Hour Show presents to GSB

Last night’s GSB meeting began with a presentation by the 10,000 Hour Show informing the Senate about what type of activities the group did.
The 10,000 Hour Show is a volunteer organization that looks to get 1,000 people to perform 10 hours of volunteer service. The group encourages and supports community involvement and promotes volunteerism among young people. At the end of the fiscal school year, the group holds a celebration which includes a concert to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments.

Also at last night’s GSB meeting, Jelili Adebiyi was seated as the graduate senator and Lucas Gray, junior in mathematics, was seated as the SUV senator.
The bill “Capital Equipment for Fencing Club” was presented by the Iowa State Fencing Club who was looking to be allotted $6,340.07 to replace outdated equipment and provide equipment to new members; the bill was passed 33-0-3.
