Lea Johnson, daughter of Richard and Yvonne Johnson, and Michael Kruse, son of Paul and Virginia Kruse, are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Johnson, of Unionville, is a junior in elementary education with a specialization in mathematics, and will graduate from Iowa State in May 2012.

Kruse, of Harlan, is a senior in industrial technology, and will graduate in December 2011. He will be a commissioned naval officer and will begin training to become a naval pilot.

Their wedding will take place Dec. 30, 2011, in Ames.
