GSB to allocate funds for student organization budgets
March 22, 2011
Student organizations will learn the extent of their budgets for the next academic year Wednesday night.
The Government of the Student Body will have their annual Regular Allocations meeting Wednesday, where the GSB Senate will determine how much money will be allocated to each club.
“We will pull out several groups whose budgets we would like to adjust or examine more closely and then pass the rest as a big group,” said Halley Stille, speaker of the senate and senior in French.
Due to the history of this particular meeting running longer than expected, the meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Memorial Union, rather than its normal time of 7 p.m.
Iowa Board of Regents President David Miles will serve as a guest speaker at the beginning of the meeting.
Student organizations that do not want to arrive at 6 p.m. can come at 7 p.m., Stille said.
