Hoben, Knight to serve as next GSB president, vice president

Dakota Hoben, senior in agricultural business, and Jared Knight, junior in political science, won the executive slate in the Government of the Student Body elections.

Hoben and Knight, who will serve as the next president and vice president, respecitvely, won with 1,826 votes compared to 1,152 votes that were cast for their opponents, Jessica Bruning, senior in political science, and Dan Voss, junior in materials engineering.

“We’re thrilled,” Knight said. “It’s just a great honor.”

“It’s good to see all our hard work come to fruition,” Hoben added. “We had fun campaigning.”

Fewer students voted in the elections than last year, with 3,186 total votes cast, said Marybeth Konkowski, GSB election commissioner and junior in communication studies.
