Fitness challenge: Matt Wettengel, week 1

I wish I could say that I’m just leaving myself plenty of room for improvement throughout the rest of this challenge. Unfortunately, I’m just lazy.
I started off pretty strong, visiting the gym three times my first week, but since then my motivation has been on hiatus. My best guess is that it’s wherever the warm weather is.
Between the amount of time that 19 credits required and the fact that I tend to fill my free time with work, I haven’t found time to get to the gym very often. I’m hoping that I will be able to find more time to visit the gym since I’m dropping three credits and am going to attempt to take more time for myself each week.
I’m also planning on trying some unconventional methods of exercise, like cross country skiing and maybe some snowshoeing. I think that anything to diversify my routine would help me find motivation to get active and make this blog more interesting.
I’ve been paying more attention to my diet, eating a lot more fruits and vegetables on a daily basis and actually eating breakfast most days. I think that in order to see any sort of results I’m going to have to cut back on my beloved carbs. It’ll be hard, but I’ll give it a shot.
