The city of Ames has scheduled a street closure beginning Thursday for Burnett Avenue, from Main Street to Fifth Street, to accommodate the reconstruction of Burnett Avenue.

The intersections at Main Street and Fifth Street will remain open to traffic during this time.

The project will continue to Seventh Street with street closures on Burnett Avenue from Fifth Street to Sixth Street and from Sixth Street to Seventh Street.

These closures will take place as work progresses. Additional notifications will be provided as those closure dates are determined by the contractor.
