Water has been temporarily shutdown in the Gateway Hills Drive area.

Damage to a water main supplying south Ames caused a temporary water shutdown Friday morning to businesses east of Gateway Hills Drive, south to Airport Road.

City of Ames crews were called at 10:30 a.m. Friday to University Boulevard just north of Airport Road.

The main has been shut down for repairs and crews hope to have water service restored by 6 p.m.
