Iowa Primaries 2010: The results are in

After months of campaigning it came down to one day of voting, and now the results are in.
The voter turn out was low across the state in Iowa. There was a high percentage of Republican voters due to the high number of Republican candidates on the ballot.
Secretary of State Michael Mauro said the Republican contest for governor was the biggest draw for voters in the primaries.
Here are the results for Story County using statistics from the Des Moines Register.
U.S. Senator
Roxanne Conlin: 80.8 percent in Story County
Thomas Fiegen: 9.5 percent in Story County
Bob Krause: 9.8 percent in Story County
Conlin will run against Senator Chuck Grassley in November.
Governor
Terry Branstad: 47 percent in Story County
Rod Roberts: 12.2 percent in Story County
Bob Vander Plaats: 40.8 percent in Story County
Eric Cooper, ISU professor: N/A for Story county in the Des Moines Register
Terry Branstad will run against Governor Chet Culver in November.
Official results will be posted Tuesday on their website, according to the Story County auditor website.

George Eichhorn: 1134 votes
Chris Sanger: 906 votes
Matt Schultz: 1546 votes
Treasurer
Dave Jamison: 3896 votes
Jim Heavens: 620 votes
Story County Supervisor
Lucy Martin: 1958 votes
Paul Toot: 1742 votes
James Strohman: 835 votes
James Cooper: 283 votes
Martin and Toot won the Democratic nomination for Story County Supervisor, they will move on to the general election in November.
