Student arrested after further investigation

An Iowa State student previously arrested for trespassing in the women’s restroom in the Durham Center has again been arrested after police gathered evidence for further charges.
Police arrested Kar Chan, junior in mechanical engineering, on a warrant for invasion of privacy, a serious misdemeanor, Friday at 8:13 a.m. Chan was previously arrested on Sept. 9, for criminal trespass after ISU police received a report of a man being inside of the women’s restroom in Durham Center.
Jerry Stewart, direct of the department of public safety, said after Chan was arrested his iPhone was seized as evidence and police were attempting to verify that he had been recording while inside of the restroom before they could charge Chan with anything further.
Chan was unavailable for comment.
