Armed robbers take cash from convenience store

An armed robbery occurred at 1:23 a.m. Monday at Swift Stop, 1118 S. Duff Ave.
Rick Thompson, vice president of Thompson Oil Company, said there were no injuries caused in the incident and only a small amount of cash was stolen.
The Swift Stop employee who was working reported the robbery approximately 25 minutes after the robbery happened.
The employee told the officers who responded that one of the two suspects displayed what he described as a dark-colored long gun or rifle.
The two suspects then fled the scene on foot heading north.
There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery.
Both suspects were described as black males in their 20s with thin builds, approximately 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 tall.
One suspect was described as wearing a dark-colored coat or sweatshirt with a hood that was pulled up over a baseball cap.
The other suspect was described as wearing a dark-colored coat with a baseball cap.
