Stabbing victim in stable condition

The victim of a stabbing, Darryl Crausby, 21, is currently being held in the intensive care unit at Mary Greeley Medical Center.

A nurse in the intensive care unit said Crausby is stable and listed in fair condition.

Ames Police Cmdr. Jim Robinson said the police department has interviewed two witnesses and are following up on information they have received from them.

Information from these witnesses cannot be released at this time.

Crausby was stabbed early Monday morning near the 3800 block on West Lincoln Way. Mateo Tellez-Yanes, 21, was arrested in connection to the stabbing early Monday morning and is currently being held at the Story County Jail.

Miguel Tellez, 24, Tellez-Yanes’ cousin, is being held as a material witness.
