University to release summary of budget decisions resulting from budget cuts
November 3, 2003
The university will release a summary Monday morning of the overall budget decisions resulting from a state cut and shortfalls. On Oct. 10, Gov. Tom Vilsack ordered a 2.5 percent across-the-board cut, which resulted in a $5.82 million cut to the ISU budget.
This cut, along with an additional $2.5 million in losses this year, tallies $8.32 million that the university must make up in cuts before the end of the fiscal year — June 30, 2004. Information released Monday will break down the areas of the general fund that will see cuts and the amount assigned to those areas.
