Four individuals charged with first degree murder for November 2017 homicide

Four individuals have been charged with first degree murder in relation to the November 2017 death of Xavier Shepley, according to Ames police.
Shepley, 21, had been found with a gunshot wound to his upper torso at his West Ames apartment in the early morning of Nov. 18, 2017. He was transferred to Mary Greeley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
All from Des Moines, Albrea R. Winfrey, age 24; Jordan N. Bryant, age 25; Anthony E. English, age 28; and Demario D. Woods, age 25, have been charged with first degree murder.
Bryant, English and Woods are currently in the custody of the Iowa Department of Corrections on unrelated charges. Winfrey was arrested Friday morning, according to the Ames Police Department.
Winfrey is currently being held by the Story County Sheriff’s Office on a $1 million cash bond.
