Letter to the editor: Music musings

Joel Porter

In response to Jon Dahlager’s “Bored with music,” are you saying that just because we don’t listen to Radiohead and indie music stations that we aren’t music listeners? I have heard Radiohead’s new CD, and I think it sucks. I have also heard Limp Bizkit’s new CD, which is just as good as “Significant Other.” And what does Lars Ulrich have to do with this mess? Him whining about Napster has nothing to do with the quality of music being made right now.

How has the Dave Matthews Band sold out? You say it’s because they have “released three live albums and only one studio album in the last three years.” Radiohead’s last CD, “OK Computer,” was released in 1997, which was three years ago. Jon, don’t take music so seriously.

I bet you listen to a lot of stuff I don’t like, but I don’t care; it doesn’t bother me that you listen to Radiohead, and it shouldn’t bother you that I listen to Limp Bizkit. So you keep listening to KURE, I’ll keep listening to the Lazer.
