AMES (AP) — Iowa State’s Megan Taylor has been named the Big 12 rookie of the week in women’s basketball for the second consecutive week.

Taylor earned the honor for the fifth time this season.

The 5-foot-11 freshman had 16 points and 16 rebounds in a victory over Colorado, then had 22 points and 11 rebounds in a loss to Kansas.

Taylor is the only freshman who has won the rookie of the week honor this season. The other players who have won are transfers.
