BREAKING: Ames PD investigates shooting at Tripp Street

The Ames Police Department is investigating a shooting that was reported around 10 p.m. Thursday. Ames PD reported to the shooting near the 3800 block of Tripp Street.

Officers reported one male victim who is currently being treated at a local hospital and whose status is unknown.

The Ames PD is continuing to investigate the shooting and has no further comments at this time.

The press release offered information for the public, “Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Ames Police Department at (515) 239-5133 or the anonymous tip line (515) 239-5533. You may also contact Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa at (515) 223-1400. Online anonymous tips may be submitted to
