The recruiting trail heated up over the weekend for Kevin Dresser and his staff.

Iowa State wrestling added a commitment from Woodward-Granger High School’s Cody Fisher on Sunday.

Fisher announced the decision on Twitter. The commitment marks the second of the weekend after Ryan Anderson announced on Saturday.

Fisher is a class of 2020 recruit, and he projects to wrestle at 197-pounds in college.

The Iowan has two second-place finishes in class 2A at the Iowa State Tournament.

While Fisher’s found success in the tournament, he’s also been solid in the regular season. Overall, Fisher holds a 100-9 record.

Sept. 1 marked the official date colleges can contact class of 2020 prospects.
