Iowa State beat Lipscomb 82-55 in its opening NCAA Tournament game Friday. The Sports Desk sat down after it to discuss the game, including talk of Milan Momcilovic’s big game, points in the paint and defensive intensity.

NCAA Tournament: The other side of March Madness

Iowa State senior forward Georges Niang shoots past Virginia guard Malcolm Brogdon at the Sweet 16 on March 25. Niang scored 30 points. He is now the fifth player to score at least 28 points in three straight NCAA Tournament games and is the first since Jimmer Fredette of BYU in 2011. ISU fell 84-71. Virginia will advance to the Elite Eight on March 27 in Chicago.
