Iowa State junior guard Lily Hansford entered her name into the transfer portal Tuesday after one season as a Cyclone.
Hansford, who spent her freshman and sophomore seasons with Oregon State, is looking for a new home after appearing in 32 games as a Cyclone. She averaged 1.1 points in 10 minutes per game.
Although Hansford was a solid 3-point shooter at Oregon State, the start of the season with Iowa State was a struggle for her, as she did not score in the first eight games of the season. Despite shooting just 20.4% from 3 at Iowa State, Hansford shot over 45% from deep during her sophomore season at Oregon State.
In a home game against UCF, Hansford put up a season-high 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting. All of her shots came from beyond the arc that day.
The announcement for Hansford came just two days after sophomores Audi Crooks and Addy Brown said they will both return to Iowa State. The portal opened March 25, but Hansford is the first Cyclone to enter her name.
