AMES – Iowa State football and head coach Matt Campbell finalized an eight-year contract extension through 2032.
According to documents obtained by ESPN, Campbell will be paid $5 million per year with incentives based on team performance.
Campbell led Iowa State to its first 11-win season in program history in 2024. The three-time Big 12 Coach of the Year also led the program to its sixth bowl victory over the Miami Hurricanes. Iowa State finished No. 15 in the AP Poll last season.
Campbell also became the program’s winningest coach in program history after last season’s week four shutout against Houston.
Iowa State will kick off the season against Kansas State on Aug. 23 in the Aer Lingus Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland.
