Hogan — a Houston, Texas native — picked the Cyclones over a handful of teams, including Colorado, Memphis, Texas Tech and others.

Hogan is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com, and he’s ranked the 66th best corner in the class of 2019, the 98th best prospect from Texas and the 764th best overall prospect.

Iowa State’s class of 2019 is now up to eight defensive commitments and 11 offensive commitments.

Hogan is the second cornerback to commit to Iowa State in the class of 2019 after D.J. Miller committed on June 9.

The primary recruiter for Hogan was running backs coach Nathan Scheelhaase, according to 247Sports.com. Hogan marks Scheelhaase’s sixth commitment as a primary recruiter since being hired in January.
