Iowa State football opened its 2020 class with the commitment of Aidan Bouman on Thursday night. 247Sports was the first to report the news.

Bouman is a 6-foot-5, 200-pound quarterback from Buffalo, Minn., and committed to the Cyclones following a football camp Thursday, announcing the decision on Twitter.

He is a left-handed quarterback, and is the son of former NFL quarterback Todd Bouman. Bouman chose Iowa State over Minnesota and North Dakota State.

Bouman does not have a star rating yet, according to 247Sports. However, NorthStar Football rates him as the No. 5 2020 prospect in the state of Minnesota.

Bouman is the Cyclones’ first 2020 commitment, but he’s the second addition the Cyclones have made this week following 2019 athlete Leonard Glass’ pledge.

With no roster turnover or de-commitments, the 2020 Iowa State quarterback room would feature Zeb Noland, Devon Moore, Brock Purdy, Blake Clark, Re-al Mitchell, Easton Dean and Bouman.
