The Cyclone Regional Training Center added two-time All-American Earl Hall and former wrestling club member Ben Durbin.

Hall, who won over 100 matches at Iowa State, continued his success on the mat after graduation. Hall finished fourth in the University Nationals earlier this year.

“He’s a super talented individual,” Kevin Dresser said about Hall.

“I think Zadick, St. John and Metcalf can really take this guy to another level. I’m excited to see how far he can go. He had a great (University Nationals) for us in just a short period of time with us as a staff.”

On the other hand, Durbin has had a much path to his wrestling career. Originally, Durbin came to Iowa State for football, but he transformed himself into a wrestler.

Durbin finished eighth at the U.S. Open in April.

“The progress he’s made since giving up football to becoming a top-eight guy at the senior level is pretty impressive. He brings the work ethic and the toughness that we love as a staff,” Dresser said about Durbin.

The two new additions will join former Cyclone Kyven Gadson, who joined the team earlier this summer.

“I’m excited to be part of the C-RTC and work hard under the direction of accomplished coaches who have only the highest expectations of me and all others in the room,” Durbin said.
