1. ISU airplane used by Leath sold for $450,000– The ISU airplane known for damage by former ISU President Steven Leath was sold for $450,000 on Tuesday. The plane was sold to Midwest Aviation Equipment, LLC.

2. Search for a new president continues, students weigh in– A student forum intended to provide input on the search for the next ISU president took place last week. 18 students were in attendance, including Student Government President Cody West and Graduate and Professional Student Senate President Vivek Lawana. The Iowa State Editorial also expressed their opinion on why they believe it’s important for students to express their opinion at a time like this.

3. Morris, Luque receive high honors from Iowa StateMonte Morris, former Iowa State basketball player and Jhoanmy Luque, current jumper for the track and field team, received high honors from Iowa State after being named Iowa State’s Male and Female Athletes of the Year. Morris is now pursuing a career in the NBA and Luque, originally from Venezuela, has one more year of eligibility and will continue to compete.

4. Cyclones compete in Cap City League– Four Cyclones made an appearance at the Cap City League on opening day in Des Moines. Returnees Nick Weiler-Babb and Donovan Jackson, as well as newcomers Michael Jacobson and Marial Shayok, all stood out and have taken this as an opportunity to chisel their skills.

5. Incoming Iowa State guard training in Canada– Lindell Wigginton, recent Iowa State basketball commit, is training with the Canada U19 team this month. If Wigginton is selected to play for the team, he will play in the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. According to Rivals, Wigginton is a five-star recruit and will play a big part for the Cyclones.
