Love farmers markets? Looking for an early Saturday adventure? Look no further than the Des Moines Farmers Market.

The Downtown Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in downtown Des Moines’ Historic Court District. The market hosts over 300 vendors from 50 Iowa counties, and spans across nine blocks, complete with free produce, Iowa-raised meats, local wine and live music.

The market also allows community members to volunteer at the market doing a variety of things, from setting up to directing patrons around the market.

The Downtown Farmers Market is also sponsored by UnityPoint Health Des Moines, along with sponsors like Great Western Bank, MidAmerican Energy and 107.5 KISS FM.

At today’s market, OB/GYN clinics from Des Moines were there to talk about healthcare for women and answer attendee’s questions.

Every Saturday will have a different group from UnityPoint Health to educate and answer questions.
