Being the community outreach officer for the Iowa State Police Department, Anthony Greiter always has Twitter at the ready.

If you haven’t seen ISU Police (@ISUPD) and Ames Police’s (@AmesPolice) Twitter accounts recently, you’re in for a good laugh.

ISU Police’s most recent tweets on 4/20, the day unofficially known as the day to get high, have gained national attention and have a combined total of almost 70,000 favorites and 27,000 retweets.

Although the Ames Police did join in on the fun with the ISU Police, they also shared some humor of their own on 4/20, which received almost 3,000 favorites.

These tweets related to 4/20 included the donut aspect in an effort to get people hyped for their “donut disrespect” campaign, which encourages people to be respectful of their peers.

Both police departments have taken the time to hand out donuts to people across campus in their donutmobile in order to promote their campaign.

The Twitter accounts are run by Anthony Greiter (@ISUPD) and Eric Snyder (@AmesPolice).
