Zach Black takes win at Penn State

The Iowa State men’s track team competed at two separate competitions this weekend, both focused on mid-to-long distance races. Zach Black, Christian Delago and Dan Curts took part in the PSU National Open on Penn State’s campus in Pennsylvania.
The first event featured Curts in the men’s mile, where he finished in seventh place with a time of 4:10.37. Black and Delago were up next in the 1000-meter run, finishing first and third, respectively. Black ran a time of 2:25.02 and Delago a time of 2:25.17.
This was Black’s first win for the Cyclones this season.

Jaymes Dennison represented the Cyclones at the Black and Gold Premier in Iowa City. Dennison took part in the 400-meter dash and finished in third with a time of 47.87 seconds.
