February 7, 2016
The Cyclones got the spring season off to a good start shooting a 301 (+13) as a team. That score was enough to place the team in 3rd, tied with Missouri and Augusta, after one round of action.
Iowa State currently sits six strokes behind the first place Houston (295) and two strokes behind Texas (299).
The team is led by freshman Parinda Phokan who shot a 74 and is tied for 12th place and Celia Barquin who shot a 75 and is tied for 18th place.
The individual leaderboard is topped by a Missouri redshirt senior Michelle Butler and a Tulane senior Emily Pentilla, who both shot a one under par score of 71.
Play continues through Tuesday, Feb. 9. Check back at the Iowa State Daily for updates throughout the tournament.
