Steve Harvey announces wrong Miss Universe winner

Best known for hosting Family Feud, Steve Harvey hosted the 2015 Miss Universe pageant Sunday night at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
In a colossal mistake, Harvey announced Miss USA Olivia Jordan as 2nd runner-up before announcing that Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez had been crowned Miss Universe 2015, leaving Miss Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach as 1st runner-up.
After Miss Colombia had been crowned, Harvey then went on to say, “I have to apologize, the first runner-up is [Miss] Colombia.” The crowd then went crazy and Miss Philippines was left stunned.
“Miss Universe 2015 is [Miss] Philippines,” Harvey announced after he made a HUGE mistake.
Harvey went on to apologize and later after the show he tweeted, “I want to apologize emphatically to Miss Philippines and Miss Colombia. This was a terribly honest human mistake and I am so regretful.” The tweet was later deleted.
According to the Miss Universe Snapchat, Harvey was reading from the teleprompter that read, “Miss Universe – Colombia.”
