A program will take place Thursday to further the president’s initiative for excellence of institution and student experience.

A showcase of the President’s Flipped Class Initiative will be taking place Thursday from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union.

According to the Iowa State Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) website, this event is to showcase course development projects “involving over 60 faculty and staff from 25 academic departments, representing all academic colleges.”

Twenty-two of these courses will be on display. Within these projects, according to the CELT site, faculty have collaborated with the CELT Online Learning Innovation Hub to develop high quality “flipped classroom” learning experiences for Iowa State students.

The showcase will begin with opening remarks from the Director of CELT Ann Marie VanDerZanden, followed by video presentations, a poster session and a reception.

The event is sponsored by CELT and the Office of the Senior Vice President and the Provost.
