Former ISU forward Royce White has taken another step forward toward his goal at an NBA comeback.

The 16th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft will be playing for the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2015 NBA Summer League, according to Darren Wolfson of KSTP Minneapolis.

The league will mark White’s first NBA action since he suited up with the Sacramento Kings during the 2013-2014 NBA season, where he appeared in three games.

In 2012-13, White enjoyed one of his best seasons as a professional with the Rio Grande Valley D-League team. He averaged 11.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in the 16 games he appeared.

The NBA Summer League will open July 4 in Orlando, Fla., and continue July 6 in Utah and July 10 in Las Vegas, Nev.
