Story County asking citizens for input about the future

Matthew Rezab

Story County is asking citizens for help finding a direction to grow and develop in the next 20 years.

The From Cornerstone to Capstone Plan is surveying residents about their feelings and how they would like to move forward with regards to: Housing; Economic Development; Transportation; Service, Community Facilities, and Infrastructure; Environment and Natural Resources; Land Use (Existing and Future); Fringe Area Planning; and Intergovernmental Cooperation.

Charlie Dissell, Story County director of planning and development, said the county is trying to get a broad representation of all residents. He said the results of the survey will help policy makers now and in the future.

“This particular document is going to be solely a policy document to help guide decision-makers over the next 20 years,” Dissell said.
