Former ISU wide receiver Josh Lenz signed with the Cleveland Browns on Saturday, according to Browns GM Ray Farmer.

Lenz originally signed with the Chicago Bears in 2013 as an undrafted free agent. He then spent three weeks on the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad. Lenz spent the remaining eight weeks of the 2013 season and all of the 2014 season on the Indianapolis Colts practice squad.

Lenz, a native of Dubuque, Iowa, starred at Iowa State and was a co-captain his senior season.

Lenz’s best day as a Cyclone came in his senior season, a win against No. 15 TCU. TCU had the nation’s longest winning streak at the time.

Lenz had five catches for 147 yards and three touchdowns, a career high. Lenz also threw for a 15-yard touchdown that game, bringing home Capital One Player of the Week honors.
