It looks like Nikki Moody will get to play basketball a little while longer.

The San Antonio Stars selected Moody with the 33rd pick in the WNBA Draft on Thursday night, making her the 13th player from Iowa State to be selected in the Draft.

Moody, a Dallas native, was selected with just three picks left in the draft. She was the lone Cyclone to be selected, and just one of two players from the Big 12 conference to be selected.

The Seattle Storm selected Jewell Loyd from Notre Dame with the first overall pick in the Draft. The Atlanta Dream selected Iowa point guard Samantha Logic with the ninth pick in the first round.

Moody finished her senior season an All-American honorable mention and broke the all-time assist record at Iowa State. Moody’s selection makes her the sixth Cyclone in the last 11 years to be selected in the Draft. However, only Chelsea Poppens and Alison Lacey played more than two games in the league.
