In a report from USA Today, a survey done by CiCi’s pizza chain revealed that the average American will consume more than 6,000 slices of pizza in their lifetime.

The survey was taken nationwide at different CiCi’s locations around the country and 1,000 adults were surveyed.

After the adults’ information was gathered, it showed that around one-third of consumers in the U.S. eat pizza at least once a week. The New York Daily News reported that 16 percent of the surveyed adults eat up to 15 slices of pizza each month. If you think about that weekly, it means that those pizza lovers eat close to four slices of pizza a week.

This study just included CiCi’s food chain. CiCi’s Pizza currently has 500 restaurants in 35 states.

This study concludes that Americans are quite fond of pizza. However, CiCi’s isn’t even the biggest pizza chain in the U.S. The top two pizza chains in the U.S. are Pizza Hut and Domino’s.

Domino’s currently has more than 10,000 stores in 70 countries, a large number being in the U.S. With pizza chains such as Pizza Hut and Domino’s being much bigger than CiCi’s, it gives room for thought that the amount of pizza Americans eat could be much higher.

The results of this study done by CiCi’s displays that the average American citizen consumes quite a lot of pizza in their lifetime. If you were to think about it, 6,000 slices of pizza is an awful lot of pizza and the thought of trying to eat that much in a short time just seems disgusting.

But there is no denying that people love pizza. It is a very social food, whether it be eaten while gathering together to watch a movie, having friends over, or just when looking for a nice place to go out and grab something to eat.
