DIY: Healthy Beauty Remedies For Dry Skin

Short on cash this season, but need to save your skin from the cold? Here are a few simple skin products that can be made at home for less money:
Peppermint Sugar Scrub
Items needed:

½ cup sugar

½ cup of coconut oil

peppermint essential oils

mixing spoon

large bowl

Mason jar
Simply mix a half cup of sugar and a half cup of coconut oil together in a large bowl, then add 10 drops of peppermint essential oils and mix well with a spoon. Once it is all mixed together, put it in a Mason jar.
Coconut Body Butter
Items needed:

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup raw shea butter

2 oz. sweet almond oil

large bowl

Mason jar
Gather all mixable ingredients in a microwavable large bowl and set it in the microwave for one minute. Take it out of the microwave, mix then repeat. Continue to do this process until all of the products have liquefied, then sit it in fridge. Wait for 24 hours, then scoop the finished product in a Mason jar.
Almond Body Soap
Items needed:

¼ cup of oatmeal

2 tablespoons of honey
-
2 cup of goat’s milk base soap

2 tablets of vitamin E
-
Sweet almond fragrance
-
large bowl

mixing spoon

soap mold or any container to mold soap in
Cut up soap base in cubes and place them in a large bowl. Melt your soap base in the microwave and heat it for 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval until your base is melted. Add the oatmeal, honey, two tablets of vitamin E and five drops of sweet almond fragrance to the mix. Place mixture in a mold and put it in the fridge for 24 hours.
Peppermint Foot Soak
Items needed:

1 cup Epsom salts
-
½ cup baking soda
-
½ cup sea salt
-
2 drops red food coloring
-
5 drops peppermint essential oil
-
mixing bowl
-
fork
-
Mason jar
Combine all ingredients in a mixing jar. Add two drops of red food coloring to the mixture. With a fork, break apart the red clumps until evenly distributed. Pack mixture into a clean canning jar.
