ISU tennis defeats Omaha 7-0

The ISU tennis team starts its regular season 1-0 after a victory against the University of Nebraska-Omaha. 

With the University of Iowa on the schedule Feb. 6, this was a match that coach Armando Espinosa used to determine his lineup. 

The players came out strong in singles and doubles, while defeating UNO 7-0. Iowa State went 5-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles. 

Sophomore Samantha Budai had a clean sweep in the match with a 6-0 victory in doubles with senior Ksenia Pronina. Budai added a 6-0, 6-0 win in singles.

The team will have a week of practice before competing against the University of Iowa and Utah State University on Feb. 7.
