A memorial service for ISU international student Tong Shao will take place this Friday at 7 p.m. on Central Campus. It was planned by the Chinese Students and Scholars Association.

Police identified the body of Shao earlier this week. Her body was found in a car in Iowa City on Sept. 26. Her death is still under investigation.

Iowa City Police Sgt. Scott Gaarde said there are no new updates on the case. They are waiting on more information to be released pending the autopsy results, which could take four to six weeks.

Gaarde said they have been in correspondence with Chinese government officials and community members to try and get in contact with Xiangnan Li. While Li is the main person of interest, no formal suspect has been identified.
